Heather is an expert in building high-performing teams, enhancing operational effectiveness, and managing corporate finance. She has successfully transformed Vive Development into a leading organization in the development industry in Ontario and now brings this wealth of experience to Oranj Constructors, which was founded out of a desire to challenge the status quo in construction management and enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of residential projects. Heather holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, specializing in Finance and Real Estate Development, and she graduated at the top of her class as a Bregman Scholar. She lives in Waterloo with her husband and two young kids.

Scott is the President of HIP Developments, a leading real estate company shaping communities across Waterloo Region. With a background in finance and development, he has built HIP around the philosophy of “building more than real estate,” integrating arts, public space, and youth initiatives into every project. Higgins is the co-author of The JOY Experiments, a book on reimagining city building through creativity and human connection. A passionate advocate for community engagement, he helped champion LAUNCH Waterloo, a STEAM program for youth, and advanced the vision of Waterloo Region as the Creative Capital of Canada. Through his leadership, Higgins has become a prominent voice for linking urban development with cultural vitality and civic pride.

Nabil is a founder, entrepreneur, and investor with two decades of experience advancing startups, innovation, and economic development in Canada. He launched and led flagship startup programs at Communitech, attracting Shopify to Waterloo Region and later scaling Shopify Plus globally, driving its U.S. partner network and creating over 1,000 jobs in Waterloo Region. As a senior leader at Atomic, he spearheaded the Canadian expansion of Terminal, building engineering teams for 50 fast-growing companies and generating 500+ jobs nationwide. Now serving as a Vice President at Communitech, Nabil advises numerous startups, including Open Quantum Design. Nabil also co-founded ETHGlobal, Founders & Builders, and Founders & Physicists, reflecting his enduring commitment to innovation, talent, and community impact.
